The Good Stuff: January Edition
Curated finds to uplift, inspire, and add a little sparkle to your winter days.
Hello Lovely Humans,
Sending so much love to all of you this week. Things are a lot right now, aren’t they? A gentle reminder to lean into your tools, take a moment for yourself, if you are a client, dive into the meditation portal and reclaim your space.
Simple yet profound, that’s how we roll.
I wanted to let the Muse community know about two upcoming openings on Thursday, 1/30, and Thursday, 2/6, both at 9:30 AM PST.
These back-to-back sessions are perfect for:
Starting your Human Design journey with an initial reading followed by a deeper dive the next week.
Focusing on a specific project or challenge through strategy and/or clairvoyance.
A weekly meditation and reading session to feel more grounded and refreshed.
If this resonates with you and you’d like to claim one (or both!) of these slots, reply to this email, and I’ll get you scheduled.

Here’s what I’m into this month…
LOVE
Those of us living in California are no stranger to the devastation of wildfires. The loss in Southern California is staggering and communities in and around the Los Angeles area need not only immediate help, but also ongoing assistance for quite some time. We are talking years. My heart goes out to those who are suffering and struggling to find a way back. There is SO much to be done. The toll is physical, psychological, and emotional.
If you are curious how you can help, here are just a few options, but with so many in need, I encourage you to do your own research and donate in ways that resonate with you.
Los Angeles Regional Food Bank
*In terms of animal and wildlife support, I am being told that monetary donations are super helpful right now. Many Los Angeles area shelters are at capacity with what they can receive in terms of food and supplies. For those of us in other parts of California, now is a wonderful time to consider pet adoption. Shelters elsewhere in the state are prepping to receive an unprecedented number of cats and dogs displaced by the Los Angeles fires who need temporary or permanent homes. Local shelters like the SF SPCA will need to make room for these animals through adoption. In fact puppy adoption at the SPCA is FREE right now! Local shelters will also need monetary donations to support a recovery of this magnitude.
California love every single damn day.
DESIRE
I’ve been on the hunt to find a signature scent these past two years. Turns out I’m still looking, but getting closer and closer it would seem. Lately I’ve been carrying a little magic with me everywhere, thanks to Vyrao’s Six Pack. This set of six tiny, 2ml scents is like mood-boosters in a bottle, each crafted with intention to shift energy and uplift.
I’ve been especially drawn to Free 00 when I need a reminder to let go, and Witchy Woo has become my go-to for a burst of courage and creativity. Each one has its own vibe, so it feels like you’re carrying a little toolkit for whatever the day brings.
The best part? If one of them truly speaks to you, Vyrao offers a discount on a full-size bottle when you buy the set. It’s such a joyful way to find your signature scent, or gift someone else a moment of discovery.
You can check it out here. I can’t wait to hear which one you fall in love with.
CARRY
I recently gifted a set of super cute Baggu Standard Reusable Totes to a friend traveling for the holidays, and they were a hit! These bags are not only quirky and fun but also incredibly practical. Each tote can hold up to 50 pounds, replacing 2-3 plastic grocery bags, and they fold into a compact 5" × 5" pouch. Perfect for traveling and daily use alike. Made from recycled nylon, they're machine washable and come in a variety of fun patterns and colors. You can check them out here. I’m kind of loving the strawberry print right now.
ADORN
All the shiny things please! This holiday season, I was gifted the beautiful Terra Ring by Amanda Hunt, and it’s quickly become a piece I reach for every day. I’ve been a longtime fan of Amanda’s work. Her art has this way of feeling both timeless and deeply personal, and I’ve collected several, okay many, of her designs over the years.
The Terra Ring is everything I love about her work. The hand-carved texture is soft and organic, like it’s been shaped by the earth, and the warm gold glows in a way that feels effortlessly elegant. It’s one of those pieces that feels like it’s always belonged to you.
If you love adornment with intention and soul, Amanda’s work is such a treat. Amanda is donating a portion of this month’s sales to the ongoing wildfire recovery impacting her hometown of Los Angeles. You can find the Terra Ring here.
QUENCH
Did I really need a $75 water bottle? Honestly… yeah, kind of. Hiking is a daily ritual for me out here in the country, and having a water bottle along makes all the difference. For a while, I MacGuyvered one by by threading my Yeti through the belt of my Baggu fanny pack, but it never felt quite right. It didn’t lay flat, bounced around, and constantly had me readjusting.
When I first saw this Stanley Cross Body Bottle, I hesitated. The price is admittedly weird, but I finally decided to give it a try, and I have to say, I kind of love it! The bottle is designed to lay flat against your body, and the strap is super comfortable, keeping it perfectly in place during hikes and walks. No bouncing, no sliding, no fuss and it holds just the right amount of water. Bingo!

THE CREATIVE
Welcome to The Creative. Twice a month I share quotes from the books, Art is the Highest Form of Hope and The Creative Act. I find perspectives on the creative process to be so meta when it comes to life. We are a creative process and everything we do is subject to the same rules. Creation is non-linear. It's messy. It moves forward and backward. And also gets stuck. Oftentimes we do not realize the purpose of a singular creative process until years later. Creativity likes to surprise us.
“Collecting seeds typically doesn’t involve a tremendous amount of effort. It’s more a receiving of a transmission. A noticing.” - Rick Rubin
Rubin’s words strike at the heart of something profound yet so simple: creativity begins with paying attention. Inspiration doesn’t often knock loudly or barge through the door; it whispers, nudges, and lingers just long enough for us to catch it.
How often do we mistake creativity for sheer effort? The hustle of brainstorming, the urgency of producing, the pressure to arrive at something tangible. But Rubin reminds us that so much of the creative process is receiving. It’s about being open and attuned to the world around us. To the moments, textures, and patterns we might otherwise overlook.
A seed can be anything: the snippet of a conversation overheard at a café, the way the light filters through trees on an ordinary afternoon, the rhythm of footsteps on a quiet street. These seeds come to us not because we work harder to find them but because we’ve practiced noticing.
The Beauty of Noticing
Noticing takes practice. In our fast moving world, we are trained to scroll, react, and skim rather than to pause and take in what’s in front of us. To notice is to slow down, to allow curiosity to guide us. It’s in these moments of quiet receptivity that the seeds of creativity are planted.
Sometimes, we collect these seeds without realizing it. A note jotted down years ago, a photograph taken on a whim, or a phrase that lingers in the back of our mind. They might sit dormant, waiting for the right conditions to bloom.
The beauty of collecting seeds is that it doesn’t demand perfection or immediate clarity. We don’t need to understand their purpose right away. Sometimes, we may never understand it fully. But this openness, this trust in the process, is where creativity thrives.
Reflection
Here are a few ways you can practice receiving and noticing in your own creative process:
Carry a Journal: Keep a small notebook with you to jot down anything that catches your attention. A line of poetry, a color, or a fleeting thought.
Create Space for Quiet: Dedicate time each day to sit in stillness or take a walk without distractions. Let your mind wander and observe what surfaces. More importantly, meditate and run energy!!
Revisit Forgotten Seeds: Look back through old notes, photos, or sketches. You might find a spark.
Ask Questions: When something strikes you as interesting, ask yourself why. What about it draws you in?
Let’s embrace the idea that creativity is more about receiving than forcing, about being present rather than perfect. What seeds have you collected lately? How might they take root?
SOLAR TRANSIT
1-22-25
Gate 41
The Gate of Correction
On January 22, the sun gracefully illuminates Gate 41, known as the Gate of Correction. During this celestial transit, you're invited to embark on a deeply introspective voyage of self-discovery. This celestial transit encourages a deep exploration of your inner realm, focusing particularly on harnessing your energy to honor and manifest your hopes and dreams.
Human Design Gate 41 serves as a guiding force, beckoning us to unearth the energy within for inspired action. It reminds us that there exists an aligned amount of pressure uniquely tailored for each individual, urging intentional and inspired steps toward bringing our dreams to fruition.
Within the realm of Gate 41 lies a beacon illuminating visions of a brighter future, inspiring us to act upon our grand ideas. Trust in your Design and the divine timing of things as you navigate this transit. Consider whether you trust in your patience and capacity for receptivity, or if impatience pushes you beyond the right amount of pressure, hastening actions before their opportune time.
The energy of Gate 41 can be intricate, sometimes entangling us in fear. In the shadow of this Gate, fear and anxieties may serve as excuses, hindering the pursuit of our dreams. This often results in remaining stuck in fantasies or allowing the fear of failure to deter even the smallest initial steps.
To align with the highest energy of Gate 41, observe moments when imagination becomes a tool to evade genuine action. Confront fears, trust in your unique Design, and embrace the courage to initiate real change.
Here are some journaling prompts to deepen your understanding and engagement with this transit:
What dreams currently fuel your energy during this Gate 41 transit? How can you turn that energy into intentional action?
Reflect on the idea of aligned pressure—how do you determine the right amount for inspired action? What are some instances of pushing beyond this alignment?
Explore moments when fear keeps you stuck. Have you used fear as an excuse to avoid pursuing your dreams? How can you confront and overcome these fears?
Notice when imagination becomes a tool to avoid real action. How can you trust your Design and become neutral to resistance in order to take tangible steps?
During this transit the sun invites a profound journey of introspection, focusing on the energy needed to manifest hopes and dreams. This Human Design gateway encourages inspired action, emphasizing the importance of discerning the right amount of pressure for intentional steps toward one's aspirations. Confront fears, trust in your unique Design, and initiate tangible steps while navigating the delicate balance of patience and receptivity.
EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique Tapping Prompt for this transit.
“Even though I am fearful of my dreams not coming true, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”
